몇십 년 만에 다시 이대 앞으로 걸어오며 신촌역을 지나게 되었다.

핸드폰으로 24시간 식당을 검색해 찾은 곳, 진선소고기국밥.
Parking was a bit tricky, but I made it.
간신히 주차를 하고 걸어 그곳에 도착했다.
The name sounded like it would serve spicy 육개장, but apparently, it was beef soup.
검색할 땐 얼큰한 육개장 집인 줄 알았는데, 소고기국밥이었다.
The atmosphere was cozy and old-school — the kind of place you trust right away.
가게 분위기는 낡은 듯하지만 오래된 맛집 느낌이 있었다.
I sat down and ordered their 대표메뉴, 소고기국밥.
자리에 앉아 메뉴판을 훑고 ‘소고기국밥’을 주문했다.
The soup arrived steaming hot.
잠시 후 국밥 한 그릇이 나왔고,

At one point, a woman came in and ordered 수제돈까스. It looked good too, but I was full.
수제돈까스를 시키는 여성도 보였고, 나도 순간 고민했지만 자제했다.
This place reminded me of the late-night 감자탕 joints from my youth.
예전 감자탕집에서 2차, 3차까지 달렸던 그 시절이 떠올랐다.
So many nights passed in Sinchon like that.
그러고 보면 신촌은 참 많은 밤들을 품고 있는 동네다.
진선소고기국밥 might not be the boldest-flavored bowl out there,
진한 고기국물 스타일은 아니지만,
but its mild sweetness and nostalgic presentation brought something more.
단맛과 정겨운 비주얼이 오히려 따뜻했다.
