Google's new video generation AI, Veo 2, is getting a lot of attention.
These days, a well-made video can boost your blog, YouTube Shorts, or Instagram reach. Many creators already use tools like ChatGPT, but now Google is taking it one step further—automated high-quality video creation from just a text prompt.
Veo 2 is a next-gen AI video model that creates realistic videos simply from what you type. And this isn’t low-res animation—it supports up to 4K resolution, making the output look almost cinematic.
You can even control how it’s shot. For example, inputting “18mm wide-angle lens in a forest” will generate a scene that looks like it came straight out of a film.
Another standout feature is inpainting and outpainting. These allow users to remove unwanted objects or extend frames naturally. If you provide two images, Veo 2 can generate a smooth transition video between them—perfect for Shorts and Reels without any editing skills.
To address copyright concerns, Google embeds a SynthID watermark into each video, ensuring transparency and source traceability.
Veo 2 is useful for everything from YouTube Shorts and ad creatives to educational content. It dramatically lowers the barrier for anyone to create high-quality visual stories.
However, here’s an important caution. Veo 2 can trigger auto-payment just by registering your payment method. If you're just curious or testing the tool, do not register without reading the fine print.
Unexpected charges may occur, and refunds may be difficult.
Currently, Veo 2 is in beta and only available in select countries such as the US, UK, and Australia. It's not yet available in Korea, but you can join the waitlist via Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform.

의도치 않게 비용이 발생할 수 있으며, 환불도 제한적이라는 점 꼭 확인하고 사용해야 합니다.
